On Tuesday, August 2nd, Kevin Youkilis and Youk’s Kids joined forces with Longwood Events, Longwood Giving, Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, and Northeastern University, to put together an amazing baseball clinic.  Located on the newly renovated Parson’s Field in Brookline, nearly 250 children from Red Sox Nation hopped from station to station learning the techniques of hitting, fielding, and more from baseball alumni and current Red Sox third baseman and Youk’s Kids founder, Kevin Youkilis. Children from the Italian Home and Jewish Big Brother Big Sister were there to learn the fundamentals from their favorite player.  Also taking part in the clinic were local little league teams from Brookline and other Boston communities.  This baseball clinic also welcomed families of those currently deployed with the 804th medical brigade in Afghanistan, as well as family members of local fire fighters and police officers.  Attendees were asked to sign a banner displaying their well wishes and thanks to those serving over seas.

We would like to thank all who attended, volunteered, and coordinated this wonderful baseball clinic.  Also, a special thank you to Donna DeSimone for capturing all the great moments and to Qdoba and Not Your Average Joe’s for providing the taco bar and pizza.  It was a memorable day for all involved.
