WORCESTER, MA – The DWA Group at Morgan Stanley has announced today that they have partnered with Kevin Youkilis Hits For Kids and Sterling National Country Club in a collective effort to help raise funds for Christopher’s Haven – a home for kids when cancer hits home.  The group has pledged to raise a minimum of $40,000 by hosting the First Annual Christopher’s Haven Golf Classic to be emceed by local sports broadcasting legend Bob Lobel and will be held at Sterling National Country Club on September 2nd, 2008.

 “The comfort, support and piece-of-mind that Christopher’s Haven provides to its guest families is truly amazing”, said Adam Waitkevich. “Our sole objective with this event is to help make a meaningful impact in helping Christopher’s Haven achieve their goal of opening seven furnished residential units and a common area in 2008.  With that said, we are extremely fortunate to partner with Kevin Youkilis’ Hits For Kids and Sterling National Country Club, both of which have made unprecedented pledges of support to assure this event is a success for all.”

About Christopher's Haven
In 2008, Christopher's Haven operates five fully furnished comfortable apartments adjacent to the MassGeneralHospital for Children where pediatric cancer patients and their families stay for an average of 6-8 weeks during daily outpatient treatments.  The organization plans to open an additional two apartments and a common area by the end of the year. Christopher's Haven is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax exempt charity that relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations to meet the need for close affordable and safe housing for families coming to Boston for this extended medical treatment.
